Or, have been wanting to take the training but location and schedule have made it difficult to do so?

 

I created this comprehensive online training to provide the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills to safely guide pregnant students through a nourishing yoga practice, at your pace, as your schedule permits, without having to set aside a full weekend, or be at a set location.

What she receives, so does her baby. 

 

We can make a positive difference to the next generation by creating a safe and supportive space and a nourishing yoga practice. Prenatal yoga give a mother-to-be a sacred space to bond with her baby, relax and restore her energy, reflect on the choices she’s making for the benefit of both her and her baby. She also receives the physical benefits of stretching and strengthening her body to prepare for birth.

 

If you’d like to add a specialized modality to your current training, you can become certified to teach Prenatal Yoga.

You will learn how to modify yoga asana for each trimester, understand the considerations and know the contraindications for specific poses and learn how to guide expecting women through pranayama and simple meditation practices, that will help to calm the mind, relax the body and assist in labour.

Take the course at your own pace and gain certification to teach Prenatal Yoga in a mere four weeks.

You'll learn how to modify yoga asana for each trimester, understand the considerations and know the contraindications for specific poses and learn how to guide expecting women through pranayama and simple meditation practices, that will help to calm the mind, relax the body and assist them in labour. Offer pregnant women a safe space to restore their energy, embrace their pregnancy and prepare for a truly beautiful and monumental moment in their life, birth.

Feel confident teaching pregnant students in your regular classes and/or bring Prenatal Yoga to your community!

*You will receive three videos addressing the concerns and considerations of each trimester, with demonstrations of beneficial asana and information on which ones to avoid and why. You will receive one video each week, for the first three weeks. They will be part of your study material, that you can refer back to at any time.

* You will also receive course material each week. In each session you will learn specific beneficial asana, modified for each trimester, to ensure a safe and effective yoga practice for expecting moms, as well as specialized techniques such as pranayama and meditation, to help soothe the physical discomforts and emotional changes during pregnancy, and to assist women in preparing for a more focused and calming birth experience.

*In addition, you will receive reference material, a suggested reading list and helpful information on beneficial herbs and teas throughout pregnancy, along with a list of those to avoid, and tips on creating a safe space for women to feel supported through their pregnancy.

*You will be able to join The Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training Private Facebook Group that will allow you to connect with other students and share your thoughts, questions, experiences and insights, while also being supported both through your training, as well as, once you bring the teachings into your community.

* Upon completion and submission of the final session assignment, you will receive your Prenatal Yoga Teaching Certificate, via email. It will be sent as printable pdf that you can provide your training certificate to studios, community centres and locations you desire to teach at.

Journey Through the Chakras

This very special online course will provide you with information and guidance on the chakras.

 

Journey through the Chakras and discover how the chakras are affecting which areas of your life. This is going to be an insightful course that will introduce you to each of the seven chakras and the development of them in different stages of your life. You'll learn specific pranayama, mudras, seed madras and yoga asana to assist in balancing each of them.

 

We will begin with the root chakra, Mooladhara, connecting to the earth. This chakra is the seat of your instincts.

The Mooladhara chakra governs your auto-immune and skeletal systems.

When are basic needs are met, when we feel supported and safe. We are able to endure the trials of life. But without stability, we operate from fear, which can express itself in hoarding, irrational response, impulsiveness, desperation and aggression.

 

When balanced we trust our needs will be met, which opens us up to the higher expressions. We feel secure in life. We value life. We are able to be present in the moment.

 

Working with your chakras facilitates awareness into areas of your life you may be stuck or unbalanced. 

 

The specific asana, pranayama, mudras and seed mantras will allow you to create healthier patterns, bringing more ease and joy into your life. The material will be presented with an introduction to the chakra, the yantra associated with the chakra and the seed mantra. The pranayama and mudras will assist in balancing the chakra. You'll also receive a guided meditation, as well as a yoga sequence of specific asana for bringing into the chakra into balance.
